I was born in Vietnam and have had pho at dozens of Vietnamese restaurants around the world (Saigon, Paris, Vancouver). The sate beef at Pho Dau Bo is far and away the best tasting version I have ever had. I work 20 minutes away from Pho Dau Bo and have taken at least a dozen of my IBM/AT&T co-workers there. They have all been blown away by the amazing broth (which I am sure has crack/cocaine in it). The broth is everything to pho. There are at least 10 pho places within walking distance from our downtown office that I could go to. However I choose to only go here...actually I am pretty sure that they chose ME!
Even though the location is in the Forest Lawn area, you owe it to your tastebuds to experience the mecca that IS "Sate Pho Life".
P.S. Can I give the broth a 1,000,000 out of 5?
