They relocated from 3728 to 2101 Broadway so the closure notice was erroneous. The only correct address you can find is in their online menu. Their new location is in a previous bank building so you got the ATM drive through chutes out back. Parking is a bit confusing as it is designed to favor access eastbound on Broadway, maybe ok for a bank but could cause problems if it gets busy. Again due to the bank architecture, the dining room have 2 distinct "banquet" room fully glass walled off from the central area giving an odd BladeRunner mannequin in a storefront feel. Got the posh crown molding from the bank era, mix in some window view of Broadway, a good sized flat panel TV mounted at a decent angle that you don't have to throw your neck out looking up at it, don't forget the 2 glass aquarium rooms, the low VN muzak musics lulls you in the background, and there you are... Service was reasonably fast from a cheerful waitress having an accent which I asked later and told it was Russian. How cosmopolitan can you get? The menu matched the online so I knew what to expect and ordered my baseline bowl of T-BV-G. There was only one size and similar to Pho Pasteur, the bowl may be XL but the broth only comes up 2/3 of the way so it is a tad more than a medium but definitely not a large. Given that the meat to bowl ratio was decent and all the T-BV-G were good, the G option- tendon was very tender and durn near melts in your mouth. The broth was clear but a bit on the light side. It seems a bit sweet but not beefy and barely anisy. It was not superhot and due to the low volume kept the noodle a tad bit undercooked. Once the standard serving of veggies gets dunked in, no more steamy broth. I ordered the hot jasmine tea that even after letting it steep while I eat, came out extremely weak and uninspired. Quick look in the pot tells the story, there's only a pinch of tea barely enough for 1 in a pot of water enough for 4. Even though not implicit in either online or paper menu, there was a substantial surcharge for the "special" order. As the menu only have the T-BV the G must have been a pricey add on charge so stick with only what is shown to minimize sticker shock later on. While business mantra has always been "location, location, location ..." and they have this down pat, and consider that there's only 2 pho location on the whole island, where could you go on a cold foggy night?!?!?

My wife and I were recently on vacation in Galveston. The day we had lunch at Pho 20 we had about an hour to kill before we took a guided tour of historic Moody Mansion and decided to eat there because the restaurant is small and the parking lot was full.

I had the beef, brisket and tendon. The meat and noodles were plentiful and the broth was steaming, flavorful and filled the bowl.

The service was excellent. We were seated and placed our order fairly quickly and our meal was served in a timely fashion which allowed us to eat at a comfortable pace and still get to our guided tour on time. More importantly, it was a great bowl of PHO.
