Another hole-in-the-wall place that has good Pho.

Pretty good.

I just moved here from Richmond, VA, where there were some really great Pho houses. Since this place is so close to my neighborhood I decided to check it out. The decor is pretty bad, but I wasn't deterred because experience had taught me that the decor in a Pho house doesn't have to be nice for the Pho to be great. Unfortunately, this time the pho was more of a let down than the decor. A lot more. I won't go back for Pho. They are really a Chinese restaurant and for some reason they are trying to peddle pho. The irony is that pho houses can make a ton of money if they do good pho. At busy successful pho places I have seen Asians, non-Asians, construction workers, men & women in suits & ties, college students, doctors in their scrubs, families, couples on dates, poor immigrants, and chicks decked out in Louis Vuitton. And some days the number of non-Asians were higher than Asians! So, as the wheather here in Indy gets colder I will continue my search for that true pho house...where the broth is clear and aromatic, where the raw slices of beef are thin and lean, where there is flank and brisket and tripe, where after a big bowl of restorative broth and noodles, I will only be out about six or seven bucks. Somewhere out there...

I go here all the time. Good pho. Don't get the pot stickers.

I think this place is more of a Chinese/Asian restaurant and doesn't really understand pho. The broth had an "off" fragrance and flavor -- sort of dishwatery. There was nothing special about the noodles, meat, veggies, or condiments, either. It's edible, but really on the poor side of average.

Passing thru town and looked for Pho. This place did not serve Pho. It was edible at least. Broth had no flavor, noodles was do able. Meat was for Chinese stir fry not Pho (beef noodle soup). I may try one of the other places tomorrow before heading on the road.

Oh and I agree on the decor. Too much red.
