This pho isnt all that bad due to the fact it is the only one in town. There were about two slices of meat in it, and the bowls were not very big. The broth was a little to salty and very dark. I have had a lot better!!

Good pho should have plenty of beef, as well as onion and rice noodles.

my name, Pho what?!?
Good pho! Kim Long in North Charleston is owned by the same owner. I've been to Kim Long several times, but have only been to Pho Bac once. Sometimes the basil does not seem fresh (brownish colored). The broth is rich and flavorful. I have always gotten plenty of meat/noodles. The flavor is consistent. Prices are a little higher than Pho restaurants in other cities, but since these are the only 2 in town, there's no competition to lower prices. Try it!

I have eaten at “Pho Bac” a few times, and must say I wont be going back…… The first time I went it was pretty darn good. The last two, terrible…… There were no white onions in it either of the last two times, and the last time, they didn’t bother to bring lime or bean sprouts. Are these people that cheap? Who in the hell serves Pho with no onions or bean sprouts? I have heard the owner talking to other customers about needing more business. Somebody needs to explain to him that if he focuses on a good product with a little consistency, more customers will come, as well as repeat customers.

As for “Thai Basil” on King Street, do yourself a favor and save your money……. $13.00 for a bowl of Pho made with chicken broth is a joke.

Charleston, S.C is in desperate need for a person who knows a thing or two about making good Pho.

Very Pricey, and meat is not fresh. Owner is rude and it takes forever to get your food. Not worth trying and will never go back.
