Awesome and one of the best I've been to. It's difficult to find one anywhere as equally delicious and fresh. The Family owners and wait staff are exceptional hosts.
We now live in an area of PA where Pho is not readily available, and we always look forward to eating here on every visit to Richmond.

This is by far the best pho in Richmond. I go there 2-3 times a week.

This is the standard by which I judge all other pho. The broth here is a lovely gently scented aromatic broth which IMO is incomparable. I currently live about 12 hours away, so I really miss the pho. I get it every time I'm back in town. I feel like if the pho here at Pho So 1 hadn't been so dang good then I wouldn't know what I'm missing now.

Even my friends from NYC, DC, and LA agree that this is superlative pho.

The Richmond benchmark, followed closely by Saigon on the VCU campus (used to be Pho Tai Chin). Top notch product and fast service. Have taken my whole family there countless times.

I've hit a number of Pho places in Richmond, and Pho So 1 is the most authentic and has the best flavor. Good service and good pho - hands down the best I've had in the city!

I love Pho So 1. They were my first pho and I've got a few others to compare it to and they are one of the best. My only complaints are that the hospitality is non-existent and its not particularly clean. If you don't mind either of these, the pho is AWESOME.

As good as it gets in Richmond, by a good margin. Take a look at their busy parking lot...all those people couldn't be wrong?

This pho was great tasting. The condiments were fresh and I was able to season my pho perfectly. I love the addition of saw leaves, not always provided at other pho places. Couple of small issues: 1. not enough noodles (but just barely) and 2. the meat was already cooked all of the way through when the dish was brought to my table. Its better if the meat is added immediately before presentation so it cooks through while in front of the eater. there is a tie between my fav pho place: mekong vs. pho so 1. hmmmmm? guess i will just have to keep eating pho at both places until a decision is made.

I travel the state for business & usually look for Pho reataurants for lunch where ever I go. No. VA certainly has a plethora of fine Pho options, but this location, in my humble opinion is the best I've had - ever!
You know you're in the right place when at 11:23am it's so busy you have to wait for a table - a table for one! Plus, and no disrespect intended, when there are groups of not only Vietnamese, but Japanese, Philipino, Indian, etc. dining as well, it has to be good!
It's worth the wait, to get the best!!!
